One of my favorite camera to capture and output. The picture quality rivals many digital cameras without the bulk. It has 14.7MP and a wide-angle lens retracts to allow the camera to fit into a jacket pocket. Functions RAW image recording with all the fun menu options as Canon Stitch-Assist, change color and accent color.
I have the Canon G10 for about 3 months and have not had many complaints. The shutter speed may tend to be slow to low light if you try to avoid using flash. Show blur, no matter how you try to keep the camera steady, but I found a way around it. If you do not have access to a tripod or set the camera on a solid surface and turn the shutter delay or use the option of ISO 3200. ISO 3200 reduces the amount of MP camera can be used, however.
RAW images take large amounts of space on memory cards. I an average of 180 photos in a 4GB card Make sure you also invest in the fastest card, otherwise you can take all day to download photos your computer. I realized that the Lanyard, seems a strange way for a camera so small, so I made a slight modification. I put a camera strap for added security, since can be difficult to find a good grip at times. Then put the camera in a small box with a pocket big enough for the charger and sling over my shoulder. Other small defects: the lack of such decent zoom and auto focus moving objects tend to be unusable.
In general, a great little camera. 9 / 10.
